Livermore City Council should call for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the occupation of Palestine. Currently, US tax dollars are paying for weapons of mass destruction that Israel is using to commit genocide. Bombing civilians, children, and hospitals constitutes war crimes and will continue the cycle of violence. Livermore should stand on the side of peace, sanity, and humanity. Escalation and warfare not only ruins lives locally but also endangers everyone in the world, as the military-industrial complex is responsible for escalating the climate crisis, with its huge carbon footprint.
