07/12/22 On behalf of the Livermore Valley Chamber, I wish to express strong support for the Shea Home project in Item 3.1. There is an urgent need for housing at all income levels, most especially for affordable and rental options. Employers of every size and industry sector in the Livermore Valley are experiencing challenges filling current and planning for future job openings. The high cost of living in the region is a barrier for entry level and service sector workers, many of which provide essential services. This project cannot be delivered soon enough. Nevertheless, LVCC recognizes and appreciates the necessity of the thorough and thoughtful due diligence conducted by this Planning Commission and City staff. LVCC urges the expeditious review and approval of the Shea Homes project. Respectfully, Dawn P. Argula, LVCC President & CEO
